The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge and undulates slightly. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone, and minor discoloration is to the right edge of the sheet. A tiny drying crack is to the impasto peak at the lower right corner, and two small drying cracks with associated losses are to the upper right quadrant in a purple painted passage. A minute spot of rubbing with associated tiny losses is to the upper right corner. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
